My Classroom
Teacher Support Materials
As a new teacher (in a perfect world where I have my own classroom), one of my first jobs will be to set up the classroom. I will strive to create an environment in which all different types of learners can succeed.
I love this example of a perfect-world classroom set-up. I love that there is optimal space for group and individual learning in different possible areas of the classroom. I will consider my instruction methods for different learning moments as well as the needs of my students when planning the desk configuration. This classroom model is also organized, and there is space to create a consistent area to display information for the students to access with ease. For example, I could have a visual schedule dispayed so that the students know what to expect during the class, as well as a "homework" sign so that students know what will be expected to be completed for the following day.
Finally, during this overwhelming and exciting time, organizing the classroom in a quick and efficient manner will allow more time for developing curricular and authentic lesson plans and management systems.

Posters, Visuals & Charts
I believe teachers must be strategic as to what they display on their walls for certain ages. I want my classroom to feel vibrant and welcoming while avoiding too much stimuli for students that may suffer under those conditions. Firstly, I feel the Marzano Scale hand signals is a great way for teachers to do a quick formative assessment in the classroom to see who is understanding the course content and who is still struggling. A visual schedule can be very helpful for many students and helps alleviate any anxiety that comes with the unknown. "Spanish Question Words" can also be used as a quick and helpful reminder for students in the classroom.
